To Perth, to the festival hub, to social events...
Flying ✈️
We're looking forward to welcoming visitors flying into Perth from across WA, Australia, New Zealand and beyond! Perth metro area is served by Perth Airport (International and Domestic). Other smaller airports including Busselton in the South (2hr 20 min drive to Perth) are likely too far but worth a visit if you are staying for longer! You can find out more about arriving by plane by visiting the Perth Airport website: https://www.perthairport.com.au/
To and From the Airport
There are train and bus services that link the airport to the City found here. You can also catch an uber (approximate cost $25-40) or taxi (approximate cost $35-75).
Car 🚗 🚕
If you are looking to hire a car, Perth airport is a good starting point. Please note that UWA has limited parking availability, especially during the week, some of which is paid parking. There is parking on the street adjacent to the campus (Hackett Drive) but caution with street and parking signage is advised.
Bus 🚌
Public transport in Perth is run by Transperth. A transperth smart rider card is advised to tap on and off buses/trains/ferries, they are available for purchase at the main Perth Train station - more details here. Cash transactions on buses are available but exact change is recommended. Bank/credit cards can not be used.
There are free bus services called CAT (Central Area Transit) buses, recognisable with a large black cat symbol on the side, that transverse across the city. They are coloured - Red Cat (West Perth), Blue Cat (Northbridge), Yellow Cat (East Perth), Green Cat (Leederville) and Purple Cat (UWA).
Public transport to UWA
The best public transport bus route is the free purple CAT service which travels in a clockwise manner on the designated route (click here). The best stop for O&L festival hub is 'UWA Guild'.
